In this blog, we will see all the details about the 2025 IPL.
The structure of IPL 2025 followed the same format as previous years. The 10 teams were divided into two groups. However, the fixtures were designed in such a way that each team would play 14 league matches (7 home and 7 away).
The teams that finished in the top four of the points table advanced to the playoffs. The first and second-placed teams faced each other in Qualifier 1, while the third and fourth-placed teams played the Eliminator. The winner of the Eliminator played the losing team in Qualifier 2, and the winners of Qualifiers 1 and 2 played each other in the final.

The 2025 Indian Premier League turned out to be a season that fans will never forget, especially for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). After waiting for 18 long seasons, RCB finally won their first IPL trophy and ended their title drought.
Initially, the final match was scheduled to be held on May 25 at Eden Gardens, but due to the India-Pakistan situation, the officials changed the date and venue. They later held the final on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In the final, RCB elected to bat and posted a strong score of 190/9 on the scoreboard. Punjab Kings, who were hoping to win their maiden title, fought hard while chasing. However, they managed 184/7 and lost the match by just 6 runs.
Krunal Pandya put in a brilliant all-round performance and won the Player of the Match award. The victory gave RCB their first IPL trophy, creating a proud and emotional moment for the team and their loyal supporters.
Interestingly, both RCB and Punjab Kings ended the league stage with the same record – 9 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw. However, RCB remained ahead. They defeated Punjab in Qualifier 1 and then once again in the final. Meanwhile, Punjab had to take a more difficult path, as they defeated Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 to reach the final.
